Veronica Jorgensen joins ResourcesNOW

Veronica Jorgensen joins ResourcesNOW as Member Services. Veronica has over twenty years experience with all levels of administration, including customer service, personnel management, and marketing. Most recently Veronica served as Executive Assistant to the Head of School at Bromley Brook School, where she was responsible for preparation of financial and management reports, maintenance of the parent website, production and publication of parent newsletters, and organization of the Vermont Fall Tours for Educational Consultants. Prior to her move to Vermont, Veronica was the Assistant to the Dean of the School of Health Professions, Behavioral and Life Sciences at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York.

Veronica brings a broad range of skills to ResourcesNOW where she will be responsible for sales and customer service. In addition she will assist with marketing and serve as an associate editor.

Linda "Sam" Mahan develops ResourcesNOW online network

Linda L. Mahan, known to friends and colleagues as "Sam", is developing a network of websites to provide diverse resources to parents and professionals seeking solutions in therapeutic education and substance abuse treatment. The goal is to put a wide variety of resources--relating to business functions, program or curriculum development, marketing and admissions, industry trends, conferences and training options--at the fingertips of individuals working in these industries. At the same time, a sub-portal will be designed for parents of a troubled teen seeking an educational or therapeutic placement for their child. ResourcesNOW for Parents will offer information on placement options and non-residential, in-home services as well as information on parenting, teen culture, issues facing troubled teens (depression, anxiety disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, school underachievement, learning differences, school violence), recommended reading, and other web resources.

ResourcesNOW will be an interactive community that encourages educational and healing professionals to participate by constributing press releases, announcements, upcoming events, feature articles and their favaorite links to resources on the web.  A series of reource directories will serve as the yellow pages for the industry by providing detailed listings of educational consultants, independent schools, therapeutic schools and programs, substance abuse treatment services, non-residential treatment services, professional services and training providers.
